― 3月31日、ご復活の日の夕食でシスター畠中千秋の送別会。原町ベースの立ち上げから10年、被災地での活動をしてこられたことに感謝です。賑やかに14名の方々が集まり、シスター畠中からは支えていただいた一人ひとりに感謝の言葉とお花が渡されました。4月3日に東京に行かれました。そしてシスター長谷川和子が４月4日に原町に到着。感謝です。少しずつカリタス南相馬での活動に参加されています。Sr. Hatanaka's farewell party at the dinner on March 31. She has been working for 10 years since the beginning of Haramachi base, and we are very grateful for her work in the disaster area. Sr. Hatanaka gave a word of thanks and a flower to each one who supported her. She left for Tokyo on April 3. Sr. Kazuko Hasegawa arrived in Haramachi on April 4. Thank you very much for coming to Haramachi. Little by little, she has been participating in the activities at Caritas Minamisoma.

― ３月26日から28日まで東京聖心の福岡先生、インターナショナルスクールの校長のSr. Anne Wachter がカリタス南相馬に来てくださいました。シスター畠中の案内で小高、浪江など見ていただくことが出来ました。From March 26 to 28, Ms. Fukuoka of Tokyo Sacred Heart and Sr. Anne Wachter, Head of the International School of the Sacred Heart, visited Caritas Minamisoma. Sr. Hatanaka gave a tour around Odaka and Namie.

― 津島桜巡りツアー　Tsushima Cherry Blossom Tour

4月13日、2011年の東日本大震災、原発事故の後、初めての津島さくら巡りツアーにカリタス南相馬から５人参加しました。地元の方々の案内で桜のことだけでなく、震災、原発事故当時の様子、その後の状況、それ以前の歴史など、伺うことができ、貴重な時間をいただきました。津島は浪江町の山間にあり、原発事故のことは当時、何も知らされていませんでした。浪江町の住民で沿岸部の方たちが避難してくるのを見ても何が起こっているのかわからなかったそうです。津島の診療所に避難してきた方たちが大勢こられて、外にも列を作って診療を待っていましたが、その時の放射線量はかなり高かったことが後になって知らされたそうです。津島小学校、中学校の卒業生の話、満蒙開拓民の話、色々なことがあり、今、地元の方々は怒りと悔しさを痛いほどに味わっておられるのが伝わってきました。On April 13, five people from Caritas Minamisoma participated in the first Tsushima Sakura ViewingTour after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident. Guided by local people, we had a precious time to hear not only about cherry blossoms, but also about the situation at the time of the earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident, the subsequent situation, and the history before that. Tsushima is located in the mountain area of Namie Town, and at the time, no information was given them about the nuclear power accident. The residents of Tsushima area did not understand what was happening when they saw people evacuated from the coastal area of Namie town. Many evacuees came to the clinic in Tsushima and lined up outside waiting for treatment, but they were later informed that radiation levels were quite high at that time. We heard stories of Tsushima elementary and junior high school graduates, stories of Manchurian settlers, and many other things, and we could feel that the local people are now experiencing a painful sense of anger and frustration.

― カリタス南相馬のスタッフの福田仕さんが４ヶ月ぶりにピースボートの旅から戻られました。約2,000人の参加者でアフリカ、南米の国々を訪れ、原発のこと、平和のことなどを勉強しながらの旅であったことを聞かせていただきました。Mr. Manabu Fukuda, a staff member of Caritas Minamisoma, returned from the Peace Boat trip after 4 months. He told us about his trip around Africa and South America with about 2,000 participants, learning about nuclear power plants and peace.

― 菜の花迷路 Nanohana Maze

毎年、４月末から5月の連休の頃に原町区萱浜に菜の花畑で子どもたちが迷路を楽しみます。震災、津波で子どもさんを亡くされた方が、子どもさんが戻ってきたら楽しめるようにと始められた菜の花迷路。秋の種まき、迷路作りにカリタス南相馬からボランティアで参加しています。今年は菜の花が早く咲き始め、４月20日にオープンしました。Every year, around the holidays from the end of April to May, children enjoy a maze in a field of rape blossoms in Kaihama, Haramachi-ku. The Nanohana Maze was started by a parent who lost his children in the tsunami. He came up with this idea of a maze for his childrento enjoy, when / if they could come back. We have been volunteering to plant seeds in the fall and make mazes in the spring. This year the rape blossoms started blooming early and the maze opened on April 20.

― イタリア・パルマから、オルガニストのジョバンナさんが原町カトリック教会でミサに参加され、ミサの後、綺麗な曲を演奏してくださいました。原町在住の東京カテドラルのオルガニストの青田絹江さんのお友達で東京カテドラル、成城教会でも演奏されたそうです。Giovanna, an organist from Parma, Italy, attended Mass at Haramachi Catholic Church and played beautiful music after the Mass. She was introduced to us through her good friend, Ms. Kinue Aota, an organist at Tokyo Cathedral. Ms. Aota is a Haramachi resident, so we all benefitted from these friendships. Giovanna also gave a small concert at Tokyo Cathedral and at Seijo Catholic Church.
