― 原町カトリック教会のクリスマスの準備　Christmas Preparations at Haramachi Catholic Church

― 福島県社会福祉大会ボランティア功労表彰者の伝達表彰式があり、カリタス南相馬は、団体として表彰を受けました。これまでのカリタスの活動を評価して頂けたことを大変嬉しく思っております。今回の受賞は、全国から活動に参加して下さった多くのボランティアの皆様への受賞であると感じております。
今後も、社会福祉協議会の皆様と連携を取りながら、全国のボランティアの皆様と共に、地域の皆様の支えとなる活動を継続してまいりたいと思っております。 At the Fukushima Prefecture Social Welfare Conference Volunteer Merit Award Ceremony, Caritas Minamisoma received an award as an organization. We are deeply honored that our past activities have been recognized. We feel this award belongs to the many volunteers who participated in our activities from across the nation.
Moving forward, we intend to continue our activities supporting the local community, collaborating with the members of the Social Welfare Council and alongside volunteers nationwide.

― 野馬追の里健康マラソン（南相馬市主催）Nomaoi no Sato Health Marathon (Hosted by Minamisoma City)
大会ボランティアとしてカリタス南相馬からは根本摩利さんと宇根さんが参加しました。お天気に恵まれ、気持ちの良いマラソン大会になりました。3,000名を超えるエントリーがありました。市内からと県内外からの参加者。 Ms. Mari Nemoto and Mr. Une from Caritas Minamisoma participated as event volunteers. Blessed with fine weather, it was a pleasant marathon event. Over 3,000 participants entered, coming from within the city and from across the prefecture and beyond.

― カリタス食堂　Caritas Kitchen
12月10日は第二水曜日のカリタス食堂。寒い中でも22名の参加がありました。クリスマスの歌のBGMがあり、クリスマスツリーも飾りました。カレーライスにサラダ、デザートにはアップルパイ。子供のコーナーも折り紙をしたり、絵を描いたり、暗くなった園庭で遊ぶ子どもたち、ゆっくりおしゃべりを楽しむお母さんたち、みんな楽しそうでした。 December 10th was the second Wednesday Caritas Kitchen. Despite the cold weather, 22 people attended. Christmas songs played in the background, and we put up a Christmas tree. The menu featured curry rice, salad, and apple pie for dessert. In the children's corner, kids folded origami, drew pictures, and played in the darkening garden. Mothers enjoyed relaxed conversations. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

― カリタス食堂のクリスマス会 Caritas Kitchen Christmas Party

12月20日には12時から3時過ぎまで初めてカリタス食堂のクリスマス会。聖心女子大学の学生さんたちも手伝いに来てくださいました。鶏の唐揚げ、チキンライスにポテトサラダをいただいた後、教会でクリスマスの話を幸田司教様から伺いました。いろいろなゲームで遊んでから、お茶。子供達はイチゴのショートケーキ、大人はチョコレートケーキ、そして最後はサンタさんからのプレゼント！子どもたちだけではなく、保護者の方たちにも！  On December 20th, from noon until around 3 pm, we held our first Caritas Kitchen Christmas Party. Students from the University of the Sacred Heart also came to help. After enjoying fried chicken, chicken rice, and salad, they listened to Bishop Koda 's talk about Christmas in the church. They played various games, then had tea. The children had strawberry shortcake, the adults had chocolate cake, and finally, presents from Santa Claus!

― カリタスいこいカフェ Caritas Ikoi Cafe
近隣の高齢の方をお招きしての憩いカフェ。今回は先月作成したクリスマスのリースにつけるお星様を作りました。クリスマスの歌を歌い、お茶をいただきながら、しっかり手も動かして、綺麗なお星様ができました。 A relaxation cafe inviting nearby seniors. This time, they made stars to attach to the Christmas wreaths they made last month. They sang Christmas songs, enjoyed tea, and worked diligently with their hands to make beautiful stars.

― 武内良太朗さんのバイオリンコンサートが小高の浮き舟会館であり、カリタス南相馬から数人で行きました。今までも原町カトリック教会、カリタス南相馬、浪江などで素晴らしい演奏をしてくださっています。イタリアでの２年間の留学を終えて帰国され、一段と腕を磨かれ、透き通るような音色に耳を傾けました。2026年３月には東京でもコンサートを予定されています。 We attended Ryotaro Takeuchi's violin concert at the Ukifune Kaikan in Odaka, with several people from Caritas Minamisoma. He has previously given wonderful performances at Haramachi Catholic Church, Caritas Minamisoma, Namie, and other locations. Having returned after two years of study in Italy, his skills have been further refined, and we listened to his crystal-clear tones. He also has a concert scheduled in Tokyo in March 2026.

― 小高の伝道所のクリスマスの礼拝にカリタス南相馬から5名が参加しました。全部で15−16名の方が来られていました。終了後、用意してくださった軽食を共にしながら、地元の方々の話を伺うことができました。震災後、しばらくは1人の信徒の方がこの教会を守ってこられ、今年は3人の信徒が新しく来られたようです。 Five members from Caritas Minamisoma participated in the Christmas service at the Odaka church. A total of 15-16 people attended. After the service, we shared the light refreshments prepared for us and had the opportunity to hear stories from the local members. After the disaster in March 2011, one faithful member kept this church going for a while; this year, it seems three new members will join the church.

― 神奈川の聖母訪問会にシスターからいただいた大きなレモン！ジャムにするつもりが、レモンの皮の砂糖漬けのようになりました。 Three large lemons received from the Visitation Sisters in Kanagawa ! I intended to make jam, but it ended up becoming sugar coated lemon peel.
