 双葉、大熊中間貯蔵施設見学

カリタス南相馬から5名で参加しました。2時間コースをバスで回り、最後に展望台のところだけバスから降りて、全景を眺めました。今まで、あちこちで見かけた汚染土の入った黒い袋は今ほとんどこの中間貯蔵施設に運び込まれ、中身は分類され、8000ベクレル以下のものは再利用できるように処理されているようです。中間とはいえ、ほぼこの場所に永久保存になるだろうと多くの人は思っています。

A 2 hour tour of Futaba/Okuma Interim Storage Facility　Five of us from Caritas Minamisoma participated in the tour by bus. All the black flexible container bags of contaminated soil that used to be kept in many places in the Minamisoma area are now stored in this place. The contents are classified by various categories and those with under 8000 becquerel are processed to be reused. The place is called 'interim storage' but most people think it is to be kept here forever.

浪江の新しい割烹 

中間貯蔵施設見学の後、浪江の新しい割烹「貴久」を見つけ、昼食。なんと500円で定食。
おいしくいただきました。女性一人で店の切り盛りをされていました。
On the way back from the tour we had lunch at a newly opened restaurant in Namie. The lunch was only 500 yen, and it was very good! The restaurant was run by one lady.

カリタスバンド

カリタスバンドが久しぶりにコンサート。鎌倉から3名のメンバーとカリタス南相馬の2名でさゆり幼稚園とカリタス南相馬で楽しい演奏を聴かせてくださいました。震災後の仮設住宅の時からつながっている方たち、まごころサロンの方達をお招きして、賑やかなときを過ごしました。
The Caritas Band had concerts after a 3 year break. Three members of the band came from Kamakura, and two were of Caritas Minamisoma. They performed at Sayuri Kindergarten and at Caritas Minamisoma. We invited Magokoro Salon members and our old friends from the time of temporary housing. We all had a wonderful time. 

小高、原ノ町で3年ぶりの秋祭り

お天気にめぐまれ、大勢の方達が集まり、活気を取り戻した感じでした。家族連れ、高校生のグループ、高齢者、皆、本当に嬉しそうでした。
Odaka and Haranomachi had Autumn Festival also after a three year break. We were blessed with gorgeous autumn weather. Families, young and old people enjoyed the day.

小高交流センターでの「わたしの絲の市」

福島のあちこちで絹、藍染め、羊毛等を育て、自分たちで作り上げた製品の展示と体験コーナー、クイズもありました。クイズに挑戦してみましたが、未だに連絡が来ないところを見ると、賞品はいただけなかったようです。残念！
At Odaka Community Center there was an event called 'a fair of my thread' where people from Fukushima who grow and cultivate threads of various kind had an exhibition of their, masterpieces. Silk, indigo dye, woolen yarns, etc. There were corners where people could experience dyeing or making silk thread.

宮城県の震災遺構中浜小学校

援助マリア修道会のシスターが２人、福山から久しぶりに来られ、現地案内に同行しました。すっかりきれいになった小学校。海が近く、津波が20メートル近くの高さ。子どもたちは校長先生の適切な誘導で屋根裏へ避難。寒い夜を恐怖の中で過ごし、翌朝、全員無事に助かりました。
 Two sisters of Mary Auxiliatrix from Fukuyama came to visit Caritas Minamisoma. We went to see the remains of Nakahama Elementary school that was damaged badly by the Tsunami in 2011. Thanks to the good judgment of the head of the school that time, the children ran up to the attic of the school building, spent the fearful night, and-all were found safe in the following morning. The tsunami was about 20 meter high.

南相馬の三大神社のひとつ「中村神社」

相馬野馬追いの時には、ここからも沢山の騎馬武者が出陣します。伝統ある立派な神社！紅葉、イチョウ、なんと四季桜も咲いていました。
We visited one of the three big shrined in Minamisoma, Nakamura Shrine. For the Soma Nomaoi Festival many armed warriors on horses depart from this shrine to join other horses in Haramachi festival ground. The shrine has a long history and is very beautiful.
Ginko trees, maple trees, and even an-all season cherry blossom tree were gorgeous with autumn colors.

花の苗

長野県から「八ヶ岳グループ」さんが花の苗を沢山もってきてくださいました。復興団地などにお届けしました。
A 'Yatsugatake group' from Nagano prefecture came to Caritas Minamisoma with many boxes of seedlings of flowers, which we distributed to the people in restoration apartments in Minamisoma .
